Panda was first released in February 2011 and whilst it may sound soft and cuddly, in fact it can be quite a challenge for your company. Panda is designed to stop websites from producing low quality content working their way into Google’s top results.
Now Google has confirmed that Panda 4.2 is slowly rolling out over a 10 month period so your website might not notice the change immediately. It’s worth monitoring your keyword rankings to see if your site is affected. However, this could work both ways if you were penalised by Panda in the past you could now find that by doing the right thing then your keyword rankings will slowly begin to improve.
Google has also confirmed that it will affect about 2 -3% of English language queries.
