Chris, our head of SEO & Social Media delivered a Social Media Training session at the CCPA’s first ever volunteering training day.
CCPA (Children Cancer Parents Alliance) is a charity that provides support to families whose children have been affected by cancer. The charity, which was founded in 1999, has helped countless families with support throughout the years and couldn’t do this without their volunteers.
The session, which introduced the volunteers to different social media platforms available and best practice on posting plus gaining further reach online, helped extol the importance of social media and how this can help CCPA in the future.
Amanda Danells-Bewley, consultant at CCPA commented: ‘’ A big thank you to Chris and OWB who introduced the volunteers to a whole new world of Twitter and Instagram and really helped widen their appreciation of how important social media is to the charity.’’
“It has been great to deliver a session and share our knowledge and expertise with the volunteers, especially for such an incredible charity,” said Chris. “Social Media provides a wonderful platform for CCPA to promote their excellent and supportive work, and we look forward to seeing the results roll in.’’
